You have wandered across Crimson Lacrima, the Anime Fanlistings-listed subject for Elfen Lied by
Lynn Okamoto. This series is infamous not only for its romance, but also lots bloody mess of gore, cruelty and nudity. The story follows a young man named Kohta who lives with his cousin Yuka in a relative
tranquility until a girl with a bloody head wound washes up on the shore by their home. This would be Lucy, a Diclonius escapee mutant with a debilitating split personality. Diclonius are
humanoid in appearance but have blunt horns and Vectors (invisible arms). When she's not in kill mode, she appears as an innocent-like girl unbeknownst of her
alter ego. Lucy's presence raises incredible questions about Kohta's past and about the deaths of his father and sister, questions which dominate the bloody,
